Intarsia of seven roses inlaid in lid of coffin–lacewood,cherry and purpleheart

The coffin was made for my mother in traditional shape. I made it of clear vertical grain fir–the top paneled in the shape of a cross. In the center I inlaid seven roses of lacewood (for her seven children) with cherry leaves and stems of purpleheart.
