Sushi Table

“River’s Rift,” a play on the shape of a canyon, is an unusually figured piece of curly walnut with bloodwood accents. The slab is cut down the middle with the live edges turned inward and bookmatched. Walnut slabs make up the legs. A matching set of bloodwood plates and ebony chopsticks accents the table.

“River’s Rift” may be used as a coffee table or a Japanese-style dining table, guests sitting on floor cushions.

Maureen’s Stool

A bar stool, dining stool or drafting stool … this is a versatile piece of Tim’s urban organic style. The seat is hand carved of quilted birch and fits any shape bottom. The quilted birch back provides excellent lumbar support in just the right place. Legs are cherry with purple heart accents.

With it’s comfortable ergonomic design and light weight sturdy construction, this stool encourages lingering over a margherita or cappucino at the bar or encouraged

Maureen’s stool can be custom ordered as a single stool or a set. Tim will make them in different woods, custom heights or back-rest styles. The leg rungs can also be customized to the perfect height for you.

Drop Leaf Table

The perfect piecefor a tight kitchen o r dining area, the drop leaf table of cherry folds down to 1 ft. by 3 ft. and expands to 5 feet long to seat 6 comfortably. The gate legs make a beautiful play on their curves,open or closed. The unique design of the legs leaves plenty of knee clearance.

Dining Chair and desk with live edge

“Forest Muse,” is made from an exceptionally beautiful live edge slab of walnut from the crotch of the tree. Because the simple pencil drawer is hidden just under the desktop., Forest Muse may be used as a desk, sofa table, accent table or for dining.

The natural splits in the slab are held together with bloodwood butterfly keys for a subtle accent.

The chair of walnut with curly maple accents can be used as a desk or dining chair. The sculpted wood seat and curved back stays make for extremely comfortable sitting.

Yellowstone Table with Live Edge

The awesome Yellowstone River Canyon came to mind when I saw this beautiful piece of curly mango. With it’s rich colors and undulating grain, it calls to mind a stone canyon carved by one of the most powerful rivers in the Rockies.

Tim hand carved the lacewood trestle to expose the swirling grain as if it were the river deep in the canyon. One end of the mango slab is carved to echo the rippling surface of a river. The legs are curved, tapered laminations of 9 pieces of mahogany and paduak wood.

“The Yellowstone” functions equally well as a sofa table or hall table. It can also be used as a sculptural accent piece.

Rocking Chair

Tim’s rocking chair design is a mellow play of hard and soft edges that carry through the entire rocker.

The chair began as a simple line drawing, pulled from a dream. The organic joinery came about after Tim attended a workshop taught by Sam Maloof. The combination became Tim’s unique adaptation of a masterful design.

The seats are hand carved so anyone sitting in this rocker feels absolutely settled into the chair. The curved back stays give excellent lumbar support and the head rest is shaped to cradle your head when you lean back. The strong, laminated rockers are carefully designed to settle you back at the perfect comfortable angle.

“Dreamtime,” left, is of Lacewood (Australian Silky Oak) with accents of Curly Maple. ”River’s Bend,” right, is of highly figured Quilted Birch with Curly Mango accents.

“Tipsy” a free standing wine rack

Winerack for 20 bottles

“Tipsy”, a wine rack inspired by the shape of a wine bottle, is made of curved, tapered laminations of Cherry with Bloodwood accents. It stands about five and a half feet high and holds twenty two wine bottles. The wine rack can be custom ordered in smaller or larger sizes. It can also be made as a set, with each section a slightly different curving shape.

Old World Dining Chair

An organic approach to Old World style, using the deep color of Cocobollo wood. This chair plays with hard and soft lines. The chair’s elegant organic curves embrace and support your back. It’s shape makes for extended comfortable sitting.

The seat is of blackberry leather that compliments the varied tones of red in the cocobollo.

This chair was custom designed as a dining set. Tim can create this same or a variation of this chair in any hardwoods, with your choice of leathers or upholstery for the seat. Please inquire on our “custom orders” page.

Paint the Town Pink

Paint the Town Pink is the annual fundraiser for Florence Crittenton’s Center for Pregnant and Parenting Teens, where my wife works as the life-sills counselor. I made this winerack for the live auction. The event is this Saturday night, Feb. 13th. Hope to see some folks I know there.
